Green Hire is a Height access company based in Tauranga, proudly family-owned and operated.

Green Hire was first started in 2008 by Doug Murdoch with the purchase of one bucket truck.  As a Sparky, Doug struggled to get a hold of any access equipment, and everything around seemed to be unreliable and expensive! Fast-forward 15+ years and the business now has a fleet of more than 300 machines.

Doug's philosophy was to provide fast, quality service. We now have 5 full time service techs, as well as a fleet of trucks and drivers, so we know we provide the best service in Tauranga!

As Green Hire grew busier, the second generation joined in, Doug’s son Andy, and Andy's wife Mieka joined the team. Starting out as drivers and techs, both have now been with the family business more than 10 years, and boast a wealth of EWP knowledge! As Doug starts to take a step back into a slow retirement, recently Andy and Mieka have become part owners themselves.

When you call Green hire, most of the time you will get through to Mieka – or one of our other friendly staff members, all who have extensive knowledge of the equipment and its uses. They will work with you to provide information, pricing and also technical support by phone, or on-site.

As the business has grown, we still pride ourselves on being family-owned and operated with a compassionate and professional work environment for both staff and customers.
