DIESEL BOOM LIFTS
Boom lifts are used if you require vertical reach as well as horizontal reach. They can also go much higher than scissor lifts. Diesel boom lifts work on most terrain types, but the ground needs to be sturdy and fairly level when elevating.
A Straight boom has better horizontal outreach than a knuckle. Straight booms have a telescoping boom and a jib boom, these machines are very easy to use. Just point it in the direction you want to go, and up you go.
If you need to get up and over an obstacle, such as a roofline, you will need a Knuckle boom.
Knuckle booms have a ‘Z’ shaped boom section that rises, and then a main boom section that telescopes out for reach.
